1) Le conditionnel

would, as in "I would" in French is expressed with the conditionnel. The endings are:
ais
ais
ait
ions
iez
aient

plus the infinitive

Ex: (If I were Bill Gates...) je serais riche ( would be rich).
(If I were rich... ) j'irais a Hawaii (I would go to Hawaii).
(If I could.... ) je volerais (I would fly).
